Producer for Partnership team

Toca Boca captures the spirit of play. We create digital toys and everyday products that are filled with fun and silliness that kids from any corner of the world can instantly relate to. Everything is designed from their perspective. We celebrate the diversity and quirkiness of their world and give them the freedom to play in ways that only they can dream up.

About the Partnership team:

The Partnership Team works to bring Toca Boca experiences to kids outside the Apple, Google Play and Amazon marketplaces (which are the three platforms that the game teams develop and deliver to). The Partnership Team is one of four key teams within Toca Boca; we make it possible to share our digital toys as widely as possible - from shopping mall screens, airplane seat back entertainment, to other key app store platforms. We strive to launch Toca Boca far and wide!

The Partnership Team is split between Stockholm and San Francisco. The Stockholm side is focused on development and the San Francisco side is focused on sourcing and negotiating partner deals, along with product marketing.

Role overview:

We are seeking a Mid-level (minimum) or Senior Producer. Ambition, self-motivation, organizational skills, communication skills, and positive energy are key factors to thrive and succeed in this role.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to help shape a team and develop a department in the long term, while managing shorter term delivery goals.

The Partnership Team has a number of ongoing Partnership deals, which often require bespoke solutions for delivery. The Producer will work with the Developer, Play Designer and QA (in Stockholm) and the Business Developer, Platform Manager, Marketing and Team Lead (in San Francisco) to deliver against these deals in a timely manner.

There are also a number of other projects that can be initiated and developed over the longer term with the aim of increasing efficiency in delivery, pipeline and processes, that will suit a Producer with a vision and drive for change.

What you will be doing:

  • Plan, coordinate and execute the project plan in collaboration with other internal & external stakeholders and your team; always one step ahead.

  • Coach and inspire your team to stay motivated over time
  • Be responsible for the management and professional development of the Partnership Development Team (based in Stockholm)
  • Engage in developing our overall working processes, methodology and department leadership in collaboration with other Toca producers
  • Given this role sits in Stockholm and heavily supports the San Francisco team - you will be responsible for being a key advocate of signed projects/partnerships and clearly communicate this to the Management Team in Stockholm

About you:

  • You have led cross functional teams of creatives and software developers in producing digital releases (for example Play Designers, Developers, QA)
  • You have worked with clients / Partners and can discuss their needs, as well as leading them through a working process
  • You have a well-organised working style and an agile leadership approach
  • You have a good communication style, sharing information and collaborating across teams and departments
  • You are passionate about toys, apps and games and believe that the power of play can make the world a better place; you clearly see the end goal of getting Toca Boca toys out to a wider audience
  • You take ownership of your work, like driving a team and strive for bigger ambitions
  • You like to travel (possibility to meet with the Toca San Francisco team and potential Partners throughout the year; ≈ 1-4 trips per year depending on need and availability)
  • Excellent English skills, both written and oral

It’s very beneficial if you have experience with:

  • Delivering projects for a variety of Android Platforms by deadline
  • Understand the mechanics of IAP (in-app purchase)
  • Have some understanding about Unity, how it works, and can clearly communicate and discuss
  • Have some experience of adapting existing IPs
  • Have experience of working with teams situated in different geographies and/or have worked with people in different timezones

What to expect:

  • Toca Boca expects you to be self-motivated and continuously want to improve both process and quality
  • You'll work with a team that comes to the office excited to learn new things every day
  • We work in small teams of 8–12 people, which means everyone is an important contributor in the project and has a shared responsibility for what we deliver
  • You should enjoy taking ownership of your contribution and be passionate about growing with us as a company
